Brides protest against social restrictions that have forced them to delay their wedding plans

A group of Italian brides have held protests in Italy against strict COVID-19 social restrictions.

The brides dressed in white, marched through the capital Rome on Tuesday, July 8.

The protest was organised by the Italian Association “regalo, bomboniere, wedding e confetti”.

They carried banners reading “Give us back the freedom to celebrate”. They also asked for help from the Italian government as many wedding ceremonies and parties have been suspended due to the COVID-19.
