Detectives from Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and Anti-Terrorism Police Unit on Saturday, July 11 arrested two terror suspects in Chepkatet village in Uasin Gishu county.
News of the arrest was confirmed by DCI on their social media pages.
The suspects were identified as Mohamed Ahmed Bisher and a foreign national by the name Nasanga Ibrahim.
“Two Terror Suspects have today been arrested by a combined team of detectives drawn from DCI Anti-Terrorism Police Unit and DCI Special Service Unit. The Sleuths carried an operation within Chepkatet village, in Kapsaret Sub-County Uasin Gishu County where Mohamed Ahmed Bisher aged 59 years and a foreign national by the name Nasanga Ibrahim 68yrs were arrested.” The DCI statement read.

The detectives also recovered assorted explosives, detonators, detonating cords, safety fuses and boosters during the operation.
DCI said the suspects are in lawful custody as further investigations continue.
