Somalis around the world have paid tribute late Somali-Canadian media executive, marketing consultant, social activist, and entrepreneur Hodan Nalayeh.
Nalayeh was killed in Kismayu in July, 2019 during a terror attack.
Nalayeh and her husband Farid Suleiman were among more than 26 people killed after gunmen stormed the Asasey Hotel in the city where Somali regional politicians and clan elders were holding a meeting.

The 43-year-old Nalayeh, a mother-of-two was pregnant at the time of her death.
Nalayeh was hailed as a heroine for showing the positive side of Somalia and focusing on the best country could offer to the world.
In 2014 Nalayeh launched Integration TV, an online platform aimed at the Somali community in Canada and the wider Somali diaspora. The platform focused on the positives by the Somali community in the war-torn nation.
