Kenya’s government spokesman Cyrus Oguna has denied rumours that he has been hospitalised with COVID-19 symptoms.
The rumours that went viral on social media on Sunday, July 19, claimed Oguna is admitted in Nairobi Hospital with coronavirus like symptoms.

In a tweet on his official account, Oguna denied being in hospital and clarified he is well well and is back in Nairobi after an official assignment.
”We have noted reports on social media purporting that I have been admitted in hospital. I wish to clarify that I am well and just got back from an assignment out of town,” he posted.

On Sunday, July 19, Kenya’s coronavirus cases reached 13,353 after 603 more people tested positive.
The number of those who have recovered is currently at 5,122, with nine more deaths reported, raising the death toll to 234.
