Kenya’s government spokesman Cyrus Oguna has revealed he has tested positive for COVID-19.
In a statement on his official Twitter account, Oguna said he tested after developing mild coronavirus related symptoms after coming from an assignment out of town.
“Recently, having come from an assignment outside town, I developed mild coronavirus related symptoms and got tested,” he tweeted.

Oguna said he was responding well to treatment at an isolation facility, he further said contact tracing is going on and his family was ok.
He urged Kenyans to take the disease seriously take all necessary precautions to avoid getting infected.
On Sunday, July 19, Oguna had denied being hospitalized after showing symptoms of COVID-19. This was after rumours circulated on social media concerning his health.
